635 PNP Candidates Invited Through Express Entry on September 01

Another 635 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates have been invited to apply for permanent residence in the Express Entry system.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its latest draw on September 1, where the minimum score cutoff was 764 — 164 being the original CRS score and an additional 600 points for provincial nomination. The invited candidates now have 60 days to apply for their Canada PR.
This latest draw brings the total number of Express Entry draws for PNP candidates to 17 since the start of 2021.
The IRCC has so far issued 106,414 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in 2021, and with the increasing number invitations chances are high that the 2021 target of 108,500 newcomers through the Express Entry system will be achieved.
What is Express Entry?
Most popular immigration programs in Canada use the Express Entry system to manage applications. There are three — the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
The PNP candidates in the Express Entry pool are qualified for one of these programs. These candidates then apply for a nomination from a province and receive it, which raises their score by 600 points.
The Express Entry system is points-based, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), that ranks candidates’ profiles. The top-scoring candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), and can then apply for permanent residency.
As the next step, an IRCC officer reviews their application and makes a decision. The officer will ask for biometrics, and may set up an interview or ask for more documents.
When the application is approved, IRCC issues a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). Approved permanent residents can then complete the landing process. If they are outside Canada, they can access pre-arrival services to help them with the first steps for settling in Canada.
