Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 627 PNP candidates who had the minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) of 760 and who submitted their Express Entry profiles before 14th June 2021 at 07:44:05 UTC, as per the tie-breaking rule, to apply for permanent residency on 7th July.

The draw was targeted towards those candidates who already had a successful PNP nomination from a province. The selected candidates had a CRS score of at least 160 points before getting the PNP nomination which gave them additional 600 points, thereby taking their total CRS score to 760 points.

Keeping in line with its commitment to welcome 4,01,000 new immigrants to Canada in the year 2021, more than a quarter of which is likely to come through the Express Entry system, Canada has been consistently holding large draws from the Express Entry pool, mainly targeting the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Provincial Nomination specific candidates, as these candidates are already expected to be living in Canada and will not get affected by Covid-19 related travel and other restrictions.

Canada has already invited close to 89,342 candidates to apply for permanent residency this year, which is almost twice the numbers which were invited around the same time last year.
